VRChat "Chibi" Avali Avatar
-= "Chibi" Avali =-
These shortstacks are a smaller, offshoot avali tribe - typically only reaching around 50 cm in height - having evolved to live in smaller, dark spaces and have as such developed compound eyes geared towards night vision.
They generally keep to themselves, are fairly primitive and quite territorial, choosing to defend their homes with anything they can sharpen to a point. While they're quite fearless, they're usually only a minor nuisance individually - nothing a swift kick up the arse can't resolve. Keep a watch on them if they're traveling in packs though, they're likely up to mischief.
The circle-and-line style markings they sport are typical of their tribe - added via dyes and bleaches upon reaching maturity - along with the insignia of their creator emblazoned on the ends of their tails.
Probably best to not call them "cute" or "chicken" unless you're wearing sufficiently thick ankle protection - their teeth are quite sharp.
-= Features =-
- Polycount 7698, Overall Performance: Good
- It should be Quest compatible (but I'm unable to test that)
- Avatar 3.0 Ready
- FBT compatible
- Physbone Tail
- Visemes / Blink
-= Setup =-
Create a new Unity project using the latest version supported by VRC, import the latest VRChat SDK for Avatars, import the Unity package, and then open the scene file in the Scenes folder.
Everything should be set up ready for upload, including physbones, "eyes" and visemes.
-= Other Notes =-
The eye bones are weighted to the ears, to follow sounds as the eyes don't need to move.
There are no gesture expressions currently as this was a quick refresh and upload of an old project - perhaps I'll make some in the future as an update if there's a demand, but otherwise feel free to make your own.
The viewpoint on these is quite low, down near their chins. This is necessary due to the large head and to keep the arms in a natural position. Other than people petting your head a little way above what you'd naturally expect, it shouldn't feel too weird.
-= Terms of Use =-
- Feel free to modify them however you like, though I'd appreciate keeping the general aesthetic intact. It's not necessary to keep the tail insignia or palm logo, but it'd be neat if you did.
- Please don't lewd the little kiddos, yeah?
- I don't ask much for these as they're pretty basic - but if your circumstances are difficult and you REALLY want one, drop me a message and I'll give you the package for free. This is an honor system - no questions asked, and no story needed. Just hit me up with the price of a beer if/when your circumstances improve, and I'd love you forever ~ <3
- Please don't give out, sell or claim ownership of the package or any of its contents - as is, modified, or otherwise. It's right here if anyone wants it, so just give them the link instead.
- You're welcome to upload public versions to show off your avatar modding skills, but please don't make public versions with the intention of giving them to your friends.
- PSD files are provided for quick recolouring of your own using PS or GIMP, but if you wanted something custom-made then just make sure the creator you chose has also purchased the package.
- Don't use them to violate the ToS of VRChat or any other platform, or use them in any way that is intended to be hateful or meant to cause harm or fear to others - I won't be help responsible for that.
Discord for help, advice, your photos or sharing mods in the contained readme file ~ I'd really like to see what you do with these little shits!
